About Your WebPages
There are basically two ways to build your website; (1.)
Design your own. (2) Pay a web design service.
Basic Website
Design
If your a do-it yourselfer, here are a few well
learned tips.
Don't get too carried away with bright
colors, patterned backgrounds, or any design that causes your page to
load slowly.
Slow-loading pages put off visitors who often click away
before they have even had a chance to consider your offer. If your site is
getting lots of hits but making few if any sales, slow-loading pages
could be causing the problem.
Basic colors with a white background do
best, as there are many different ways your page will appear on diverse
monitors.
Use headlines and subheadings to give
customers a quick idea of what your page has to offer while building
excitement. Someone in a hurry should be able to read your sales letter
and quickly understand what products and benefits they will get.
Stress benefits.
For your most important phrases enhance
them with bold letters. However, avoid using all capitals in your
writing, and utilize the most common fonts as they are easy to read.
Above all, try to include testimonials as nothing builds trust with visitors
like reading good things about you.
Make their buying as easy as possible,
ask for the order often. People on the web like to make purchases
with speed and ease, so accepting credit cards is a must. I use
ClickBank for many
reasons, more on those later.
Some websites consist of one or two pages
and are often referred to as a "mini website."
A mini-site is typically a one or two page
affair made-up of a powerful sales letter for just one product with a
link to an payment form. That's it. No distractions. No link outs (why
invite your visitors to leave your site?). Just a powerful and proven
selling formula that has the benefit of:
A Single Focus
When your site has a single goal, rather than a pocket full of
choices, you know what you want from your site visitors, and so do
they!
Targeted prospects
Because your site has a single crystal-clear purpose, all your
promotional efforts are directed at bringing pre-selected visitors to
your site. If they don't want what you're offering they wont come. If
they do, they will!
Effective cost of advertising.
Because your mini-site is about just one product and your ads make
that clear, the only people who will click through to your site are
those who want what you're selling.
You do not have to pay for a separate
hosting company for each "mini-site" you may desire. You can place many
of these on a site with a reasonable capacity, this way you can have a
number of "Internet Money-Machine$!"
Web Pages -
Mini-Sites
Web page graphics are a
valuable supplementary benefit to acquiring reprint rights, as most have
the pre-designed web graphics included with the price.
In that case all that you
are required to do is edit in your company information relating to the
finalizing a sale and you have your WebPages professionally designed.
Generating killer web pages is a craft all it's own.
In direct sales many of the top producing sites market their 'Info' products
by-way of the so-called "mini-sites!"
As stated, 'Mini Sites' are simple,
if not
powerful, one or two page web sites that sell a product -- usually, an
info-product. These apparently harmless sites, when done correctly, are
unstoppable money-making machines.
I'm sure that you've seen
some of the sites I'm talking about... and chances are you even bought
from several of them. Right?
Actually, mini-sites may be
"the perfect web business."
-
Mini-sites are quick and easy to
produce
-
Mini-sites allow you to test your
marketing on the go
-
Mini-sites provide instant results.
There is an excellent report on the
market titled
"Killer
Mini-Sites" that outlines the elements of page construction
the top pro's use.
Designing The One or Two Page Website!
(Mini-Sites)
This is a completely self-reliant site that presents a
single product, sells the product, takes the order
and all automatically.
In the view of the
prospect this is your entire website!
Think of your website as
the foundation of your entire sales / marketing strategy.
Your website's sales copy
is the most important writing you have to do, since it clinches the
all-important sale. That's the only reason your there!
How long should you sales letter be? A lot of people
still swear by having a long sales letter. (I swear at them!) I've found
that a good approach, for me, is to go for a shorter letter.
However, this is a personal preference a short
page is OK but only as long as it gets the job done by
making the sale!
You must make your site accessible for the people who
want to read through the information quickly while it gives them the
in-depth information that some customers need to feel assured about the
offer.
Hype is a difficult beast to master. If, by hype, you mean
"exaggeration," then you should avoid it like the plague. If, by hype,
you mean "really enthusiastic writing," then it can be effective with
the right kind of audience. Think about who you are selling to, ask
yourself if they need to get really excited about the offer before they
buy? Or, would a more refined laid-back approach better suit them?
"To hype or not to hype," that is the question?
If your selling a hot new ebook you want to make your visitors
excited enough to act now!
A generous amount of buildup never hurt anyone and after all you are
going to give the buyer a good guarantee aren't you?. On the
Internet this is critical.
The important thing to remember here is that you never want to lie.
As for webpage design, you want it to be plain and business like. I
do not mean uninviting! You should only use a graphic when it enhances
your product, like a book cover. In any case I do not believe in an
animated graphics or any thing that would be distracting.
Believe it or not, there is a remarkable product that makes writing
sales letters almost automatic! It's called "Instant Sales Letters," and
you should, at least, take a look at it.
